The ANPR system reads the vehicle registration number and connects the arriving vehicle with information already submitted electronically to Norwegian Customs.

The driver receives a green or red routing signal.

A green signal means the vehicle can continue according to the instructions.

A red signal means the driver must report to customs.

For the smoothest possible crossing, the transport and customs information should therefore be submitted correctly before arrival.
